MidWestOne Bank Investment Services Assistant in Dubuque, Iowa

Assists relationship managers and clients with matters involving client accounts. Includes document preparation, scheduling, and customer service both in-person and over the phone.

  • Completes documents to set up and close accounts.

  • Answers departmental phones.

  • Prepares correspondence and reports for various staff and may compose other routine correspondence.

  • Handles client communications in person, over the phone and by email, answering questions and obtaining information.

  • Handles ongoing delegated responsibilities.

  • Assists with client needs(researching questions, and preparing client requests funds).

  • Maintains familiarity with client account histories and objectives.

  • Develops familiarity with individual retirement account rules in order to process paperwork for establishing and handling accounts.

  • Enters account and prospect personal financial data for computer generated proposals/reviews.

  • Ability to download and input information into established spreadsheets to track investment performance or asset holdings.

  • Maintains up-to-date customer information for ongoing customer contacts for sales purposes using department client database.

  • Maintains related tickler files for customer action requests as requested by representatives or by clients.

  • Makes follow-up calls to prospects to set up appointments for representatives and confirms previously established appointments, as needed.

  • Calls on Investment clients or investment companies to complete and service work requested by clients or representatives.

  • Monitors client accounts and updates representatives on issues which need attention.

  • Prepares and processes various supporting documentation relating to investment products sold.

  • Refers investment clients to Investment and Trust Department or Personal Banking to obtain specific services when appropriate.

  • Assists representatives in preparation of any documents needed for client meetings.

  • Other duties may be assigned

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Series 7, 66, 65 (or 63 & 66) and insurance licensing strongly desired.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Hours Per Week: up to 40
