Title: Instrumentation Engineer - 40425
As an Instrumentation Engineer at John Deere Construction & Forestry division, located in Dubuque, IA, you will provide technical leadership and support relative to instrumentation solutions for the Dubuque based PV&V areas. In addition you will:
Provide technical instrumentation support for salaried test engineers and wage technicians, including test planning and the troubleshooting of issues
Help train salaried test engineers and wage technicians on test methods and instrumentation
Specify, procure and implement transducers and data acquisition components
Provide technical assistance for global PV&V locations in Brazil, Kernersville, TCI and TEDA, as needed

What Skills You Need
3 or more years of relevant work experience with data collection or data processing
A working knowledge of electrical transducers, signal conditioning, and data acquisition techniques
Demonstrated effective communication skills/interpersonal skills
What Makes You Stand Out
Experience with Dataq, eDAQ, or IMC data acquisition systems
Experience in roles that required an understanding of vehicle communication systems (CAN)
Experience in roles that required a working knowledge of control systems, digital signal processing and filtering concepts
Working knowledge of strain gauges and Wheatstone bridge measurements
Experience with PV&V activities and test facilities as related to instrumentation support
Experience with VisualBasic, Lab View, or similar software language
Experience with mechanical and hydraulic systems as applied to construction and forestry equipment Data processing knowledge and experience with nCode
Experience with machine information systems (JD Link, MG data loggers)
Education (or equivalent work experience)
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar degree, or 10+ years of relevant experience.
