Function: Product Engineering
Title: Hydraulics Design Engineer - 41521
As a Hydraulics Design Engineer, for the John Deere Construction & Forestry division, located in Dubuque, IA you will be responsible for the hydraulics, hydrostatics & controls design of current production Skid Steer and Compact Track Loaders. In addition, you will:
Focus on quality improvement and cost reduction
Troubleshoot problems on the production line and assist DTAC (Dealer Technical Assistance Center) to quickly resolve customer field issues

What Skills You Need
Demonstrated strong problem solving ability and willingness to attack emerging issues, determine root cause, and drive corrective action
Demonstrated effective project management skills
Demonstrated effective communication skills
Experience on hydraulic/hydrostatic components/systems
Demonstrated ability to work in a self-directed manner
Experience with reading hydraulic schematics
Experience with 3D modeling tools (such as Creo, Pro/E, Solidworks, AutoCAD, etc.)
Ability & willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%
What Makes You Stand Out
Technical experience relating to design/diagnostics and troubleshooting of machinery
Experience working in a team environment
Experience with emerging quality issues, determining root cause and driving corrective action
Knowledge of other functional areas outside of hydraulics/hydrostatics or desire and ability to learn
Experience working in a manufacturing/assembly environment focusing on warranty reduction, assembly line issues, cost reduction, and new product implementation
Experience with 3D Modeling tools for plumbing routing (such as: ProE-ProPiping)
Education (or equivalent work experience)
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar degree.
