Title: Electrical PV&V Engineer - 72857

Your Responsibilities

At John Deere Construction and Forestry an Electrical PV&V Engineer leads, plans, develops, and executes verification plans (testing and analysis) for electrical components, sub-systems, and systems on one or more C&F product lines. In addition you will:

  • Provide leadership to less experienced engineers on the planning and executing of electrical verification by providing direction on planning, technical decisions, and priority for one or more product lines.

  • Lead internal teams to drive methodology and efficiency improvements.

  • Provide problem solving of electrical issues on new product development and current production

  • Lead/Participate on PDP (Product Delivery Process) and PV&V teams as the Electrical PV&V representative, ensuring PV&V activities and plans are formulated and followed.

  • Travel as required both domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.

What Skills You Need

We need an excellent communicator with leadership potential who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment. In addition we require:

  • 3 or more years of Electrical Engineering experience performing analysis, testing, and/or design work

  • Knowledge of environmental verification testing

  • Experience with electrical wire harness circuits and routing

  • Experience with electrical components such as batteries, starters, alternators, rocker switches, relays, solenoids, sensors, actuators, connectors, and controllers and monitors.

  • Experience working with suppliers in the application of electrical components

  • Experience in product verification and validation work

  • Understanding of serial communications

What Makes You Stand Out

  • A strong candidate will also have a strong background in EMC testing, six sigma, and reliability testing.

  • Design experience with sensors (infra red, ultra sonic, gyroscopes and inertial measurement units, pressure, temperature, etc)

  • Working with customers to define requirements for systems and components.


Ideally you will have a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
