Kemin Industries Worldwide E-Commerce Manager in Des Moines, Iowa

Overview

The WW E-Commerce Manager is responsible for the development and execution of Kemin’s online store strategy. This includes the management of third-party E-Commerce storefronts and the development of Kemin’s own E-Commerce store. This position collaborates with the website manager and web developers to create a modern online store experience for Kemin customers. This position will partner with Kemin business units to add their desired products to the Kemin owned store and third-party stores.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, manage and operate Kemin’s own custom E-Commerce platform.

  • Establish, develop and manage Kemin online flagship stores and grow brand business in the platforms.

  • Work with web developers to design and develop the Kemin store.

  • Partner with Kemin Web Manager to make changes and updates to Kemin.com and Customer Portal websites.

  • Monitor E-Commerce performance by establishing and tracking KPI’s and making changes based on market research.

  • Ensure all online transactions follow government regulations and align with company-wide goals.

  • Design and execute E-Commerce roadmap for Kemin Industries.

  • The E-Commerce Manager must stay abreast of changes in the online commerce environment and make necessary adjustments.

  • Maintain quality controls to ensure that products are listed properly on the storefronts.

  • Partner with business unit marketing and sales teams to propose new products for inclusion on the online store.

  • Enhance product data specifications, attributes, and categorization

  • Work with Digital Analyst to leverage analytics to drive traffic and conversion tactics.

  • Partner with Strategic Marketing team to develop an E-Commerce marketing plan to reach the target users.

  • Support digital transformation through development of E-Commerce stores.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in E-Commerce, Marketing, IT, or related field. (MBA is a plus)

  • At least 5 years of work experience in digital commerce, digital marketing, and specifically with custom online stores and third-party online marketplaces

  • Strong understanding of requirements for digital commerce and experience with being creative in recommending solutions to overcome digital commerce challenges.

  • Effective working in a fast paced and fluid environment that requires strong ownership, bias for action, ability to prioritize, and deliver high quality results.

  • Experience working within an E-Commerce product information management (PIM) and content management system (CMS).

  • Strong familiarity with E-Commerce platforms such as Magento, Netsuite, or similar.

  • Teamwork capability with cross functional departments, and leadership.

  • Strong ability to build trust with and influencing internal and external business partners.

  • Demonstrating strong learning capabilities on new business models, new skills and new methodology etc.

  • Prepare reports and analyze conversion numbers.

  • Operational knowledge of techniques required for market research and analysis. Digital Analytics and other analytical software will be essential for tracking sales trends and making projections of future growth.

  • Data-driven with a proven track record of driving growth through online, mobile, and offline marketing programs.

  • Proven ability to enhance digital shelf through SEO tactics and content optimization.

  • Knowledge of the broader Adobe Experience Manager and Marketing Cloud product stack is a plus.

  • Strong analytical, problem solving & conceptual skills, and a flexible attitude in shifting environments.

  • Experience in an Agile software development environment

  • Must be proficient in English, multilingual is a plus.
