wind power markets. Role Summary/Purpose FieldCore Local Maintenance Technician - is responsible for the planned maintenance of GE wind turbine Generators in Amarillo and/or Plainview, TX May be asked to travel and work between Plainview, Texas and Panhandle,
Texas locations. Essential Responsibilities
Responsible for the scheduled maintenance of GE Wind Turbines.
Perform all mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical component maintenance.
Document all work performed using computer based service reporting procedures
Available for travel on short notice
Able to work long hours and some weekends Qualifications/Requirements
Minimum 1 year experience in wind turbine maintenance procedures. Experience with GE turbines is preferred but not necessary. Full understandingof wind turbine tower safety. Strong mechanical and electrical background is preferred. Will require some travel but is desired to localize this work for the wind farm areas. Current Valid Driver's License is required. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Possess validdriver's license and clean driving record history
Ability and willingness to handle repetitive weight - 50 lbs
Ability to climb towers up to 300 feet
Ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions
Ability and willingness to work in rangeof environments to include but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities
Ability and willingness to be available for rotation shift schedules 24 hours seven days a week.
Successfully complete GE EHS Training,Climb Test, Tower Rescue Training and CPR/First Aid Training. THERE WILL BE SOME REQUIRED TRAVEL FOR THE FIRST YEAR AND THEN POSITION WILL BE LOCALIZED (STATIONARY) BY 2018. EXPERIENCED WIND CANDIDATES/ WIND SCHOOL GRADUATES FROM WOODWARD, OK AND TEXAS PANHANDLEARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY.
