The Solution Architect is client facing, pre-sales engineer that works with designated Account and acts as a value added technical advocate for Forsythe clients. A solution architect is responsible for understanding clients’ business requirements as they pertain to IT infrastructure, qualifying opportunities and creating designs that match the requirements with appropriate hardware, software and professional services. This role builds the required presales collateral to represent the solution including, but not limited to, At-A-Glance documents, HLDs (High Level Design), BOMs (Bill of Materials), Product Quotes (with pricing), LOEs (Level of Efforts), Client Proposals and SOWs (Statement of Work). This role entails the following responsibilities; collaborating with other LOB experts as required to address client need, presenting the proposed solution to the client, ensuring the sale is made and overseeing the delivery of these solutions all while maximizing profit to Forsythe. Lastly, the solution architect role requires the person builds and maintains a healthy relationship with key business partners (OEMs, subcontractors, service providers) in the assigned districts and regions they support.
The Storage - Solution Architect II (SA2) is a client facing, pre-sales engineer with deep subject matter expertise of solutions in Storage, Compute, and Systems Technologies across Hardware, Software, Hosting and XaaS. Is an expert in “Art of the Deal,” sequencing activities and deliverables to the client to value sell, earn trust and enhance margin. Has a very good understanding of technology solutions in adjacent lines of business. They often function as a single point of contact for multiple technologies and are good team leader & mentors within Forsythe. They lead, position and sell both implementation and advisory and strategy services without additional pre-sales assistance.

Working knowledge around Cloud Backup, Hosting and StorageAsAService
8+ years of experience with Architecture, Install and/or administration within Storage domain
3+ years of experience with Sales/Pre-Sales:VAR or OEM product & services sales or pre-sales engineering (SE) support
3+ years of experience with Project Management: Leading teams in Client or consulting project environment
4+ years of experience with Client, OEM or VAR based partner management
4+ years of Billable consulting experience
Experience as a client, consultant or vendor in Storage and/or other
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
