As a Senior UX Interaction Designer focused on Digital Imaging for GE Healthcare Digital, you will apply your knowledge of leading and defining UX projects and proven industry UX best practices to help research, define, sequence, prototype, design, test and deliver next-generation, intuitive diagnostic imaging software. As senior UX leader, you will help set a compelling, coherent UX direction for clinical applications to generate customer and user satisfaction, improve outcomes and save lives.
In this role, you will:
Have a passion for healthcare, imaging and medicine, with a preferred background in one of these areas
Demonstrate strong work experience in UX for enterprise software development and delivery
Utilize your knowledge of Design Research, Visual Design, Interaction Design, Design Technology and Content Strategy by leading rapid research, design, prototyping and product development efforts in clinical imaging
Be a passionate advocate and evangelist of UX with product and engineering leaders and executives, as well as with customers and externally
Work directly with product owners and architects to develop realistic product plans and releases that properly prioritize, scope and plan for UX research, design and testing. Work with product owners to understand market needs & vision; work with teams to quickly translate that vision into workflows, interactions and designs
Participate in and lead team discussions relative to UX. Feel comfortable independently leading design sprints, UX requirements definition sessions and design thinking workshops, and accurately scoping the UX research and design work you will lead
Work directly with clinical customers and users to understand and validate business, diagnostic and technical needs, goals, work processes and outcomes
Contribute to and leverage a healthcare-wide design system
Rapidly become a recognized internal expert on UX for healthcare diagnostic imaging software
Guide effective documentation and communication of design - via wireframes, mockups, workflows, prototypes, written requirements, usability documentation and coded UI components
Communicate effectively both within immediate team and GE leadership
Combine demonstrated creativity and refined knowledge of visual design and visual communications with very strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving approaches that align all product and design problems back the user’s goals and needs
Guide effective documentation and communication of UX and visual design of any projects - via personas, wireframes, mockups, interactive prototypes at low and high fidelity, workflows, user stories, and test visualizations
Be a passionate advocate for end user research and testing as part of your iterative UX process
Be a mechanism for team and customer collaboration and facilitation. Work very closely with customers as well as both product and engineering leads to define, ideate and test approaches and solutions Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Design or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in UX Design OR Master’s degree with 3 years of experience in UX Design
