Global Commercial Services (GCS) is a core operating group of American Express and has delivered robust growth over the past decade. GCS partners with commercial clients to help them manage travel expenses and make purchases through proprietary payment solutions and expense management tools.
The Global Field Enablement (GFE) team serves as the Center of Excellence for a 4,000 person field organization, delivering high impact global strategies, content, competencies, and connections that accelerate field productivity and enable the Field. The Sr. Manager, Global Field Tools role sits within the Global Field Tools (GFT) team under the broader GFE organization. This role is responsible for managing the operational processes to advance the GFT Center of Excellence strategy.
Lead a team of four analysts in providing exceptional project support and completing operational tasks
Document and manage internal team processes while enforcing AMEX compliancy standards
Oversee the management of the GFT Center of Excellence central mailbox
Design and manage a communication and enhancement strategy for a global feedback ecosystem
Collect and submit GFT performance metrics reporting
Lead the content creation for stakeholder updates
Oversee control owner responsibilities for maintaining technology policies and standards and limiting operational risk
Maintain a current record of GFT inventory for each global market
Organize and manage both external and internal submissions for field tool ideation and enhancement requests
Create project plans and OKRs which measure adoption and efficiency of field tools globally
Communicate effectively, both orally and written, with the ability to influence at various levels
Successfully manage multiple detail- oriented projects while delivering on-time performance in a fast paced, team-oriented environment with rapidly evolving business needs
Build relationships to foster collaboration across cross-functional teams such as Enterprise Platforms, Marketing, GFE Center of Excellence and other partner teams
1-3 years of project management or operations experience
2 years of people leadership experience
Experience leveraging project management software preferred
Excellent PowerPoint and presentation skills
Project management experience preferred
Exceptional written and verbal communication
Ability to travel internationally as needed
