American Express Sr. Manager - B2B Payments - Growth Enablement (Virtual) in Des Moines, Iowa

Description

Partner with American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) client management organization to identify strategic B2B opportunities and accelerate revenue growth while developing meaningful relationships and enhancing our customers commercial payments experience

Responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrate the value drivers of American Express to existing GCG/LM customers, skillfully aligning client needs with solutions in order to expand or cross sell American Express B2B payments products

  • Provide project management oversight and cross functional stakeholder alignment across multiple growth initiatives and alignment with leadership objectives

  • Contribute to customer discovery conversations focused on procure to pay system integration as well as current state and future state process modelling

  • Ensure onboarding best practices and supplier value proposition are a critical component of our customers long term payments strategy

  • Effectively research and fine tune high level concepts; build out and manage strategic plans, develop and deliver reporting tools, and support collateral material development

  • Analyze marketplace trends - economic, cultural, social, technology to identify opportunities and contribute to the evolving Amex B2B value proposition

  • Manage stakeholder relationships, assisting in go to market initiatives and liaising with the legal counsel

Qualifications

  • Highly organized and results-driven consultative sales professional with demonstrated ability to qualify leads, manage a pipeline of multiple accounts and execute multi-faceted sales strategies from needs assessment through close

  • Strong leadership, coalition-building and structured communication skills required to advise American Express business partners on enterprise sales process optimization while articulating the Amex value story and best practices to client stakeholders

  • Broad and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of payments industry preferred

  • Conversant at working capital optimization and cash management best practices- familiarity of competitive marketplace solutions highly desirable

  • Experience building or selling complex procure to pay or B2B solutions for large and global clients strongly preferred

  • A working knowledge of ERP systems, e-procurement systems and P2P automation/tail spend management solutions strongly preferred

  • Expertise in process design, process improvement and change management highly desirable

  • Adept at creating and delivering senior-level presentations, contributing to RFP’s and developing sales and marketing collateral

  • Excellent work ethic demonstrating individual initiative and strong self-motivation
