What you will do for Siemens Smart Infrastructure:

Under the direction of your supervisor, you will conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning, and general servicing of HVAC control systems (including detailed troubleshooting). You will be responsible for high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, onsite customer interaction throughout the Midwest and traveling 75% of the time. This position may live anywhere in the Midwest so long as it is inone of the following cities with a branch office (Chicago, St Louis, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, Des Moines, Kansas City or Milwaukee) You will also be responsible for completing required project and service documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair routineelectronic control system malfunctions.

  • Provide sketches of fieldchanges and discrepancies for engineering corrections and drawings.

  • Connect with customers uponarrival and before leaving the work site.

  • Meet regularly with customersto become familiar with operating problems.

  • Keep customers advised of thenature of service provided, outstanding issues, and recommended systemimprovements, upgrades, and/or repairs.

  • Promote the sale of add-onwork.

  • Manage assigned work to meetprofessional execution, time, and customer satisfaction standards.

  • Report problems or changes tomanagement immediately.

  • Provide training to customerson electronic control systems operations.

  • Deliver manuals anddocumentation to customers for training. Support the mechanical staff onnon-complex, non-critical equipment.

  • Compile job documentation, suchas certificates of completion, customer training forms, trainingcertificates, and punch lists.

  • Able to accommodate in and outof state overnight travel typically within the Midwestern service area.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma orstate-recognized GED; Associate degree preferred

  • Experience installing andservicing electronic control or HVAC equipment; 5+ years preferred

  • Proven knowledge of a varietyof electronic or direct digital controls systems (DDC), and ability totest and write modifications to systems software in multiple languages

  • Skilled in programming,start-up, checkout, and troubleshooting complex projects

  • Proven experience in theintegration of low-voltage building sub-systems using various industryprotocols, such as BACnet, N2, Modbus, etc.

  • Ability to work in a variety ofcircumstances, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-liftequipment; working in ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, aboveceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions

  • Must be able to use hand tools,laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet

  • Must be able to carry and moveequipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted

  • Ability to work in a teamenvironment providing dedicated support to our customers

  • Knowledgeable in MicrosoftOffice (Word, Excel & Outlook)

  • Good verbal and written communicationskills in English

  • Expected travel up to 75%

  • Qualified applicants must belegally authorized for employment in the United States

  • Must be 21 years of age andpossess a valid driver's license with limited violation
