The position will also provide key support and supporting tools to business to ensure capital evaluation tools are consistent and accurate to support capital purchase decisions. Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions) Perform financial modeling for major capital development projects for the company. Including the coordination of the inputs from various stakeholders, operation of the financial models, assessment and summary of model results for management. Develop valuation models, validate internal rate of return targets, utilize various development and contract provision inputs concerning varying types of generation development and analyze various financing options associated with activities in the renewable energy industry. Conduct the analysis, evaluation and presentation of potential acquisitions. (60%) Provide operations support, tools and education necessary to seek consistent methodology is employed for all capital investment decisions. This entails preparing and maintaining the tools the organization uses to perform capital investment evaluations in alignment using a consistent framework for those decisions. This includes ongoing management and tracking and reporting of capital forecasts and updating the valuation models for tax equity projects with current monthly financial data and preparation of necessary reports. (30%) Prepare competitive proposal support including financial models, narratives and research of investment opportunities. Interact directly as a company representative with counterparts from joint venture partners regarding financial analysis. (10%) Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned. Position Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field. (Typically six years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.) Certification such as CPA or CFA or advanced degree such as MBA beneficial. Six years of related progressive work experience. Advanced accounting and financial skills with the ability to develop and interpret full financial statements, understand financial impacts of changes on cash flows and financial ratios, apply accounting principles to the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports. Ability to direct and coordinate the development of complex financial and econometric models including those technically based. Advanced research and analytical skills with understanding of quantitative analysis, financial analysis methods and tools and cash flow analysis. Advanced software skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and ability to utilize advanced modeling techniques in order to automate model functionality. Effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills to effectively monitor developments in forecasted and actual data, including recognizing patterns and/or outliers in data and events which may influence forecast results or assumptions; the ability to draw logical conclusions and make recommendations for action.. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
