Cassia Scheduler / LPN in Des Moines, Iowa
Valley View Village , a 5-star rated senior care campus, is hiring a Full-Time Scheduler/LPN to join our team. In this role, you will schedule clinical staff, manage employee attendance, and interview candidates to create a great team and culture at Valley View Village. This is a Full-Time, benefit eligible position, working Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm and rotating on call weekends.
Scheduler/LPN skills and requirements:
Must have an understanding of clinical scheduling.
1-2+ years of prior staffing/scheduling experience preferred but not required.
Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Iowa.
Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families and staff.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
Excellent customer service skills.
Scheduler/LPN responsibilities:
Coordinate schedule and staffing levels for the nursing department.
Provide clerical support to nursing management.
Interview and hire candidates for open nursing positions.
Conduct reference checks and background checks for potential employees.
Track continuing educational programs for staff.
Create training plans for new nursing staff.
Complete daily budget report for all nursing hours.
Track attendance and complete disciplinary action forms.
Complete payroll and manage time clock errors.
Order and distribute nursing supplies in a cost effective manner.
Perform additional tasks as needed.
