Facebook Research Intern, Computational Photography (PhD) in Des Moines, Iowa
Facebook's mission is to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together. Through our family of apps and services, we're building a different kind of company that connects billions of people around the world, gives them ways to share what matters most to them, and helps bring people closer together. Whether we're creating new products or helping a small business expand its reach, people at Facebook are builders at heart. Our global teams are constantly iterating, solving problems, and working together to empower people around the world to build community and connect in meaningful ways. Together, we can help people build stronger communities - we're just getting started.
Facebook Reality Labs (FRL) brings together world-class researchers, developers, and engineers to create the future of AR and VR. These technologies have the potential for enormous global impact, and our interns work directly towards making this potential a reality. The Computational Photography group in Facebook Reality Labs (FRL) brings together a world-class R&D team of researchers, and engineers to build innovative photo, video, and AR/VR experiences. We work on technologies that ship across all Facebook surfaces ranging from Facebook to Instagram to the AR/VR Oculus products. We work at the intersection of Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, and ML. The aim of this role is to develop and advance the state-of-the-art in computational photography. The goal of the internship is both to create a publishable research project and contribute to new methodologies that can be experienced by billions around the globe.
