Job Purpose

The Project and Facilities Coordinator is responsible for overseeing various facilities projects, both new and existing, to ensure the efficient management of corporate headquarters and other facilities. This role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders and external vendors to plan, execute, and maintain facilities in line with organizational standards.

Essential Functions

  • O versee the maintenance and operations of company facilities, including grounds upkeep and maintenance, office spaces, equipment, and utilities. Maintain facility security measures, including access control systems and surveillance.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support the planning, execution, and completion of various projects, including facilities projects for corporate headquarters, Des Moines manufacturing, domestic, and international facilities.

  • Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets, including generating detailed concept drawings using AutoCad, Revit, and Inventor for facilities projects.

  • Coordinate project activities and resources to ensure timely delivery, working closely with all key personnel to ensure accurate information is communicated and adjusting as needed. Communicating updates throughout to FM Management and impacted team members

  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for facility repairs, renovations, and upgrades, monitoring project progress and addressing any issues or deviations from plans.

    Requirements

    Minimum AS degree in related field and/or a combination of education and experience in building maintenance or equivalent. Familiarity with facility operations including grounds, mechanical, electrical and sanitary systems, a plus. Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints. Mechanical aptitude with ability to complete basic mathematical calculations is essential. Excellent communication, problem solving, organizational, and PC skills, including AutoCad, Revit and Inventor, are required. Must work effectively under pressure and exercise good judgment. Must be able to squat, lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. Some travel required.

    Final candidates will be required to pass a post-offer pre-employment physical and drug screen.
