Product Management Director (Wellbeing Solutions)

Preferred locations : Office-base in one of the following Anthem offices: CA, CO, NV, WI, MO, KY, or OH

Other Locations : Strongly prefer office-based. May consider candidates from other areas who are not able to work in an Anthem office at management’s discretion.

Responsible for leading the implementation, and management of a product strategy for multiple markets. Influences, implements and maintains competitive Wellbeing Solutions product platform across markets. Partners with product managers and project team to achieve superior execution of product strategy in the marketplace. Supports the development of short and long term strategic product plans in support of market, sales and profitability objectives. Ensure products, roadmaps and go-to-market initiatives spanning the portfolio are aligned to the Segment and Solutions goals and business objectives.

Primary duties to include, but are not limited to:

  • Work collaboratively with segment support and market leadership teams to bring to market the best Wellbeing Solutions options for clients

  • Partner with product managers to achieve superior execution of product strategy in the marketplace. Partners with business leaders to develop and update an integrated product plan, roadmap and go-to-market strategy across the product portfolio that supports the Segment Solutions business objectives

  • Communicate expectations and contributes to annual package planning work with segment leads and market teams

  • Serve as communication lead between segments/markets and product as it relates to packaging strategy

  • Establish and maintain insight resources to support packaging strategic planning (Product and CI insights). Analyzes market trends, proposes new product/service initiatives, fulfill and interpret customer-specific reporting and coordinates with the product areas to implement products bundles

  • Provide research, analysis and recommendations on the external environment as part of the development of strategic plans for the business unit.

  • Analyze major competitor strategies. Identifies and monitors changing patterns of competition and recommends responses

  • Collaborate with marketing in the development of value proposition for package strategies that serve the needs of each segment and multiple markets

  • Consult and deliver relevant training to stakeholders (Sales, Operations, Segment Product Teams) that convey strategic approach, product details, and overall GTM support

  • Establish effective communication feedback loops with all stakeholders.

  • Conduct monthly/quarterly touch points and advise market stakeholders of strategy/product evolution

Requires a BA/BS degree; 5-8 years of product management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Demonstrated results in three or more of the following areas required: Product Development, Market Strategy, Market Research or Account Management.

Preferred

  • MBA

  • Wellness product experience

  • Account management experience

  • Product development/product management for large group or national account employer benefits

  • Experience successfully leading strategy and execution for product go-to-market tactics including but not limited tomarket insights, competitive intelligence, consumer & industry research, bundling/packaging products

  • Experience successfully leading the development anddeliveryof market positioning presentations for C-Suite

  • Knowledge of Anthem internal processes and operations a plus
