Job Description

The Fusion Applications Technical Architecture team has been tasked with defining the next generation SaaS architecture based on cloud native principles running in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This re-architecture not only has us work with a wide array of state-of-the-art technologies and OCI services, but also helps redefine the software development culture and processes to a DevOps centric eco-system (CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, etc.).

We are designing and building the next generation SaaS platform with value added services enabling developers to quickly build and deploy enterprise scale applications. We are seeking highly technical, hands-on leaders to help manage the effort to design, build. and promote this platform across the SaaS organization.

For this position, we are looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager who would:

  • Apply project management discipline to develop plans, define scope, document requirements, and manage schedule and resources for a complex group of projects

  • Own establishing and managing multiple project deliverables, communicating project and program objectives and ensuring resources are aligned properly

  • Utilize agile methodologies to drive technical and functional teams to complete critical path actions in a timely fashion

  • Maintain a high level of organization and planning while communicating with stakeholders to reach timelines and maintain customer satisfaction

  • Demonstrate flexibility and resilience in response to changing or ambiguous situations, directing changes through appropriate review and approval mechanisms

  • Ensure operational technical readiness for all phases of the product cycle

  • Actively partner with cross-org teams and stakeholders to ensure appropriate processes and templates are utilized for project and program success

  • Look for process definition and improvement opportunities and lead others in adhering to existing processes and contributing to their improvement

  • Ensure service teams meet the operational bar while continuing to raise the bar for the organization

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Program Management on technical cross-functional projects

  • Experience with PM tools: JIRA, Confluence, etc.

  • Experience in managing and executing large-scale, complex cross-organizational technical programs and delivering high quality products

  • Ability to be an influential member of a highly integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technology related field

  • 3+ years of experience in Software Development

  • Enterprise SaaS (experience with Fusion Applications a plus)

  • Building and running large multi-tenant public cloud services

  • Cloud-native technologies: Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, etc.

  • Experience in cloud services: OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Seven years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.

US: Hiring Range: from $87,800 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
