Brief Job Description:
Responsible for general cleaning of the warehouse and surrounding facilities, inside and out.
Reporting Relations:
Accountable and Reports to: AVP Warehouse Operations, Director of Compliance/Safety & Security, Warehouse Supervisor(s), and Assistant Supervisor(s).
Direct Reports: None
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Reports to work when scheduled and on time. (Adheres to company policies and departmental guidelines).
Responsible for total warehouse cleanliness and appearance, inside and out. Including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, power washing, scrubbing, dusting, painting, and sanitizing.
General janitorial duties within offices, restrooms and breakrooms.
General light maintenance duties including but not limited to plumbing, mechanical and electrical.
Properly disposes of trash and recyclables.
Complies with all Lomar security procedures when monitoring non-Lomar employed truck drivers and/or visitors.
Performs daily safety inspection of equipment.
Adheres to all Safety guidelines and performs work in a safe manner.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Attends departmental and company meetings.
Job requirments of a Warehouse Generalist as needed.
Other duties as assigned by management
Physical Requirements:
Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.
Must be physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally; exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently; and exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:
Promotes a safe work environment by use of all proper personal protective equipment.
Must have the ability to solve practical problems with a variety of variables with limited standardization; interpret instructions.
Ability to identify problems, develop and execute solutions.
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers.
Have the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing.
Working Conditions:
Most of the duties of this position are performed in a warehouse environment, but the employee will be exposed to an outdoor setting. There will be exposure to noise, dust, dirt, temperature extremes, dampness, and chemicals/solvents and equipment including batteries.
Equipment Used to Perform Job:
Scrubber, stock picker, mop, hand tools, power tools, vacuum, and industrial equipment.
Contacts:
Has daily contact with warehouse personal and contractors. Deals with other companies and the general public.
