Foth Infrastructure & Environment, LLCis currently seeking a team-focused, innovative, and results-orientedLead Environmental Engineer (Solid Waste/Utilities)who is looking for new learning experiences, opportunities for career growth, and a desire to contribute to our clients’ success. This position will be working out of our Minneapolis, Des Moines, Cedar Rapids or Chicago locations.
Provide hands-on technical engineering for solid waste and Coal Combustion Residue Management projects (issue identification and resolution, project team leadership, delivery of projects within scope/schedule/budget, technical quality, etc.)
Attend client meetings, lead proposals/presentations, attend trade shows, meet with regulatory agencies, and serve as a primary contact for clientsregarding industrial and municipal solid waste projects
Provide engineering leadership to teams/systems/processes to complete projects with high quality and on time and provide input for continuous improvements
Identify client needs proactivelyand initiate activities to ensure those needs are addressed
Demonstrate technical knowledge on industrial and municipal solid waste services as a lead engineer for multiple large-scale projects of a complex, multi-discipline nature
Serve as primary technical resource for innovative solid waste concepts
Demonstrate effective client and project team communication skills with a focus on technical issues for clients, regulators, and stakeholders
Maintain a thorough and complete understanding of the rules, regulations, guidance, policies and current best approach for solid waste engineering systems
Maintain all licenses and certifications in good standing
Coach and develop junior engineers and scientists to develop their technical and consulting skills

Travel as required (domestic and/or international) for field work and/or other client/business objectives

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
Minimum 10 years of experience as a lead engineer for industrial or municipal solid waste projects
Minimum of 5 years project management/coordination experience
Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
Master’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or Science
10 years of experience working in the engineering consulting industry
