JOB DESCRIPTION I. JOB SUMMARY - Major goals and objectives.The Jr. Social and Newsletter Editor manages the day-to-day posting plans for Parenting, MyWedding and More, and will be in charge of execution of social content as well as engaging with our social audiences to drive engagement and grow scale. This person must be interested in all three verticals: parenting, millennial women, and weddings, or be willing to learn. YOU WILL: - Develop a cross-platform and platform-specific editorial calendar for social media on all three sites.- Determine content needs for social (video, live video, designed graphics, articles, etc.) and work with content teams to create social-driven content.- Work with content teams to coordinate social media promotion plan for every piece of content created.- Write daily posts to engages with followers on all social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram. - Build network of bloggers and social media influencers to create meaningful partnerships and content experiences for our social audiences.- Monitor competitors social media presence and leverage best practices to make our presence known. - Help implement a newsletter strategy and manage newsletter sends and campaigns for all three brands. II. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS WEIGHT % ACCOUNTABILITIES, ACTIONS AND EXPECTED MEASURABLE RESULTS 80% * Write daily posts for all social platforms, including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Monitor user activity, engagement and referral traffic. * Monitor and interpret stats and best practices for our social media strategy. * Work with content and design teams to determines content needs for social (video, live video, designed graphics, articles, etc). * Work with content teams to coordinate and execute social media promotion plan for each piece of content created. * Works with digital growth team, editorial, product and the GM of Commerce Content to execute various programs including partner, blogger and influencer outreach programs. 20% * Collaborate and support Meredith Consumer Revenue sales team on branded content campaigns. * Attend regular meetings. 100% III. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB REQUIREMENTS - All must be met to be considered. Education: Bachelor s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, or related field Experience: At least 1-2 years experience in writing, social media, content strategy, and/or operations for a magazine, agency, or online publisher.
