Aligned is seeking an Investigative Journalist to contribute to our fundamental, long-term, bottom up investment research approach. Our investment approach has been highly successful over the past 20 years and is based on deep fundamental work on companies. We envision this position as an extension of that work, using traditional and digital methods to source information on a given company or topic. We are seeking candidates who have experience doing investigative reporting, preferably experience doing business related reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional journalist, who is driven, curious and open to applying their talents in a non-traditional field of work.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Journalism or Business plus 2 or more years relevant work experience, required.
Proven track record of long-form journalism.
Experience sourcing information across a variety of subject matters using both digital and traditional means of research.
Ability to prioritize, source, accumulate, and present relevant information across diverse topics.
Ability to work independently.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Travel is required for the role.
