Job Summary

Serves as a senior, strategic communications partner on the Internal Communications team. Responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communications strategies at the all-company level and for specific audiences that effectively drive employee engagement and inclusivity in a hybrid working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Builds, executes and measures comprehensive communications engagement strategies aligned to key companywide priorities that strengthen the Black & Veatch culture

  • Edits, proofreads and writes multiple complex company communications materials

  • Serves as a trusted advisor across the organization in support of all areas of the business including but not limited to human resources, executive leadership, organizational updates, change management projects, business unit support and other teams

  • Leads internal content strategy discussions and develops and executes on internal communications plans for content that is relevant and engaging for target audiences

  • Writes and support others in writing content aligned with all of Black & Veatch’s corporate channels

  • Ability to create quick turnaround content deliverables as well as long-term projects involving collaboration with other internal clients across the organization

  • Fosters strong relationships with internal stakeholders Solid organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage expectations across multiple, complex projects / priorities

  • Partners with the video and graphic design teams to coordinate supporting assets through production

  • Strong writer, communicator, and storyteller who can apply their skills to digital channels

  • Applies standard principles, theories and concepts in writing, digital storytelling and copyediting

  • Supports companywide internal events as needed

  • Flexibility and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, while possessing a high level of comfort with ambiguity

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication or a related field; or equivalent experience

Experience: 6+ years related experience
