For more information, visit and .Job Purpose: Sales interns in our Foodservice, Consumer Products and Deli Solutions areas are responsible for calling on a variety of existing customers with the objective of increasing sales for their districtResponsibilities:Add products into distribution and expand the usage of existing Hormel Foods productsImplement marketing strategies for Hormel productsReceive training on Hormel Foods products, selling techniques, route building, and business planningBuild a business plan for the territory and report resultsWork with Hormel Foods sales and account management to gain new product placementsImpact and contribute meaningful work that will affect the Hormel Foods bottom lineRequirements:Must graduate in August 2022, December 2022, May 2023 and major in Marketing, Professional Selling, Agribusiness, Business Administration, Hospitality or Hotel/Restaurant Management or relevant degree program with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA preferredMust have the ability to drive a company vehicle in various settings, including in metropolitan areas and in all types of weather conditions.Demonstrated leadership, persuasive, initiative, and communication skills are necessary for success in this positionPossess a strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial spiritMust be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United StatesApplicants must not now, or any time in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visaMust be comfortable with the preparation and consumption of a variety of Hormel Foods Products which may include but not limited to pork, beef, chicken and peanuts.Location and Hours:One of our select training sales offices in various locations throughout the U.S.Location is based on business needs at the time an offer is madePosition is full time, 40 hours per week beginning late May and ending mid-AugustCompensation:Competitive salaryPaid housing allowanceCompany car provided with gasoline/mileage allowanceReimbursement of all expenses incurred on the jobDeli Solutions The Deli Sales division of Hormel Foods is responsible for selling deli offerings into retailers and Foodservice channels.
