The Opportunity

As the Head of Business Development , you will establish and lead the industrial cybersecurity business development team. You will build the team from the round up, leverage the global resources and business development organizations across BV, and manage all day-to-day activities. In this role you will optimize topline revenue growth by bringing in new customers and deepening and expanding existing customer relationships.

You will be responsible for:

  • Establish the Business Development Team

  • Define the sales processes and procedures

  • Establishing opportunity tracking and management

  • Establish sales performance management, tracking, and reporting

  • Identify and develop how our business development team integrates with other business development teams across the organization

  • Develop our global business development strategy

  • Define and manage investments to develop the BD team

  • Define organizational design for the BD team

  • Hire and train business development team

  • Manage Business Development Across the Organization

  • Leverage and develop internal sales tools, resources, and materials to optimize sales efficiency

  • Lead Business development events, activities and campaigns

  • Manage lead generation sources and capabilities

  • Manage the continuous improvement and development of sales materials, tools, and resources

  • Lead, develop, and manage the business development team

  • Manage sales performance, reporting and forecasting

  • Lead and manage all sales opportunities to ensure a healthy opportunity funnel

  • Coordinate closely with other business units, sectors, and geographies to ensure an integrated approach to market

  • Coordinate with partners to jointly pursue opportunities

  • Be an In-Market Leader and Executive Guide to Clients

  • Engage client executive leadership to surface and advance opportunities

  • Be a thought leader for the industrial cyber market, participating in article, events, and other leadership roles

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement/Relationship Development,

  • Sales Performance (e.g., Qualified Lead generation, Opportunity Advancement, Funnel Clarity and Efficiency),

  • Forecasting and Reporting

  • Sales Operations Optimization (process, tools, resources, materials),

  • Sales Team Management and Development

  • Hire, manage and develop the business development team.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience

  • Has successfully managed multiple engagements simultaneously

  • Contributor or leader to acquire new engagements

  • 12-15+ years in a business/consulting environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15 years business experience

  • 10 years business development

  • 5 years industrial cybersecurity experience

  • Sales strategy development experience

  • 10 Years critical infrastructure experience

  • Consulting experience

  • Sales management experience

  • MBA or equivalent

Work Environment/Physical Demands

  • Hybrid work schedule: 3 days in office and 2 days remote

  • Typical office environment, typical construction environment, extreme weather conditions, high noise level, safety hazards (electric currents, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to chemicals), atmospheric conditions (fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, poor ventilation). Sitting, walking, talking, hearing, reading, writing, keyboarding, driving, filing, reaching, stooping, crouching, bending, standing for extended periods of time, lifting or carrying up to 40 pounds.
