Kemin Industries Greenhouse Assistant - Part-Time in Des Moines, Iowa
Overview
Kemin’s Specialty Crops program develops unique botanical sources of novel functional molecules for business unit product development. The Greenhouse Assistant will play an important role in supporting weekend and holiday greenhouse operations mainly watering specialty crops as part of Kemin Industries’ Specialty Crop Improvement (SCI) Unit. This position is considered part-time employment working a maximum of 4-8 hours a day on Saturdays and Sundays (Holidays included), additional hours may be offered if available.

Responsibilities
Watering specialty plants in greenhouse on weekends and holidays
Communication with line manager for weekend operation.
Perform manual labor duties as required in establishing and maintaining plants in greenhouses.
Qualifications
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be able to learn quickly and demonstrate strong work ethic.
Ability to work weekends and holidays
This position requires physical exertion.
A post-offer background check and drug screen is required. Additional pre-employment requirements may be necessary based on position.
