Principal Financial Analyst II in Des Moines, Iowa

We are seeking a strong technical Financial Analyst II+ to join our Variable Annuities team! In this role you’ll work directly with financial reporting and hedging, and have the opportunity to collaborate with teammates through a blend of recurring and project work. You’ll execute the variable annuity hedging and reporting processes, analyze results, and communicate financial results to leadership.

  • Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Actuarial Science, Finance, Statistics or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 1+ year of related experience

  • Intermediate Excel Skills (V-Look Ups, Pivot Tables, Data Summary, etc..)

  • Analytical ability and curiosity to dive into problems to gain a deeper understanding

  • Effectively prioritize projects with multiple business partners

Preferred Qualification

  • Experience working with data software (SAS preferred) and/or MATLAB

  • Experience working with variable annuities

We are open to hiring this role at our corporate headquarters in Des Moines, IA or remotely.

Job Level

We are open to hiring at the Financial Analyst II, III or IV level depending upon experience and qualifications.
