Job Brief

The ePayments Specialist Supervisor oversees and directs the day-to-day functions of the ePayments Specialists and ensures all required tasks are completed timely and accurately.

Job Summary:

The ePayments Specialist Supervisor oversees and directs the day-to-day functions of the ePayments Specialists and ensures all required tasks are completed timely and accurately. This position will monitor, evaluate, and direct assigned team members and communicate with them regularly to share positive feedback and information regarding issues, recommendations, and general bank happenings. The ePayments Specialist Supervisor will coach, encourage, and discipline team members as needed to assist in their personal and professional development, and will evaluate overall performance.

Primary Functions and/or Responsibilities:

• Overall supervision of the ePayments Specialists and their supported functions

• Coordinating the research, reporting, and resolution of issues reported for the ePayments Specialist functions

• Propose system and procedure changes as needed to prevent future issues, improve function, or improve service

• Assign daily tasks to team members and ensure all required tasks are completed timely and accurately

• Monitor, evaluate, and direct assigned team members

• Communicate regularly with team members to share information on projects, issues, recommendations, and general bank happenings

• Coach, encourage, and discipline team members as needed and evaluate overall performance through regular performance coaching and the performance review process

• Assist with developing department resources and training for the ePayments Specialists

• Provide backup support to the ePayments Specialists as needed, including the call center

• Monitor incoming communications for the ePayments products and services for department, bank, and customer impact and send out notifications and updates as needed to applicable parties

• Assist with ensuring ePayments systems, products, and services are in compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws so no regulatory violations exist or are identified by examiners

• Stay abreast of new laws and regulations, ensuring necessary changes are implemented on a timely basis

• Other duties as assigned, including serving on committees and advisory boards as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

• 5–8 years of experience in Bank operations or similar financial functions

• Supervisory or experience in a leadership role preferred

• Experience working with electronic payments (ACH, wire transfer, etc.) and online banking preferred

Specific Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

• Understanding of bank operations

• Understanding of financial institutions, payment processing flows (especially retail, treasury and electronic payments), and the financial networks for processing

• Ability to communicate and relate to people from varying relationships (i.e. personal and business), varying levels of understanding, and varying levels of positions

• Ability to comprehend and create varying financial data reports and summaries (i.e. budgets, cost/benefit analysis)

• Ability to lead, monitor, evaluate, direct, encourage, motivate, and discipline team members

• Ability to understand, use, monitor, and evaluate varying types of computer systems

• Strong work ethic, positive company attitude, and commitment to quality

• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
