UnityPoint Health Digital Strategist in Des Moines, Iowa

The Digital Strategist plays a leading role in delivering exceptional digital experiences to UnityPoint Health audiences. The Digital Strategist will contribute to UnityPoint Health’s overall digital strategy with an emphasis on the development and management of websites and mobile applications. The Digital Strategist is responsible for managing overall site structure and optimization with the goal of increasing organic presence in search engines results. Additionally, this role will be responsible for improving the user experience of UnityPoint Health websites, mobile applications, intranet, and contribute to the management of UnityPoint Health’s technology stack. By partnering with campaign development teams, the Digital Strategist will create high quality landing pages designed to connect consumers with UnityPoint Health services. Collaborates with regional business partners in achieve strategic goals.

Manage Overall Structure of UnityPoint Health Digital Properties

  • Evaluate and manage overall site structure of UnityPoint Health websites, intranets and mobile apps

  • Evaluate performance and recommend structural improvements in alignment with UnityPoint Health strategic priorities

  • Use Google Search Console to perform keyword research and develop Search Engine Optimization(SEO) and link acquisition strategies for improving organic performance

  • Perform technical SEO audits and leverage insights to make improvements and optimize performance

  • Use Google Analytics to gain insights into site performance and create reports in alignment with strategic priorities

  • Oversee CMS management process, creating best practices for users, and ensuring integrity of site content.

  • Responsible for system infrastructure hardware and software recommendations to maintain optimal system performance, maintainability, and security.

  • Lead the Digital Specialist executing and prioritizing digital requests from regional partners.

Manage Provider and Location Data Warehouse

  • Manage provider and location data warehouse for deployment to the web as a consumer provider directory

  • Manager our Local SEO efforts to ensure data integrity across search engines and listings websites

  • Manage Google My Business Accounts, ensuring data alignment between data warehouse and Google My Business listings

  • Coordinate deployment of date to other business units, including call center, clinic operations and analytics

Landing Page

  • Responsible for the creating and maintaining landing pages that create exception end user experiences.

  • Partner with Senior Digital Campaign Specialist to deploy exceptional landing pages for paid campaigns

  • Lead Digital Specialist in implementing landing page projects.

  • Create custom CMS templates for deployment of landing pages through the Marketing Automation platform.

  • Partner with regional marketing team to continually update campaign landing pages

  • Responsible for researching and ensure UPH landing page strategies continue to beon the cutting edge.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Marketing or related field

  • Master’s degree in Digital Marketing or related field preferred

Experience:

  • 5-7 years experience in Digital Marketing

  • 3-5 years of experience with Search Engine Optimization

  • Experience working in healthcare preferred

  • Certification in Google Analytics preferred

Skills:

  • Fluency in SEO core elements including, but not limited to: Keyword Research, Technical SEO (UX, site architecture, URL structure, XML sitemaps, canonical tags, dynamic/static pages, etc.), On-Page Optimization (Metadata, Headings, Content, Anchor Links, Navigation, etc.)

  • Understanding of basic HTML, CSS and code structure as it relates to SEO

  • Ability to understand marketing strategy and apply it to website and app management, campaign development and technology stack management

  • Experience with Google Analytics with certification or the aptitude to become certified.

  • Experience with ADA requirements preferred.

  • Has excellent working knowledge of MS Excel

  • Be a critical thinker with the ability to understand and evaluate all relevant data and troubleshoot when necessary

  • Must have strong project management skills
