Location/Division Specific Information

This position is located in the BioSciences Division within the Life Sciences and Laboratory Products Group at Thermo Fisher Scientific.

How will you make an impact?

You will be responsible for developing the web platform strategy and the roadmap of a Customer Loyalty program, with the goal of influencing purchasing behaviors, improving customer experience and gaining operational efficiencies. You will lead a cross-functional product team, being responsible for their outcomes and the success of the product. In addition, you will support adjacent 'find & decide' web programs, pointing at gaps in the customer journey and articulating business justifications for new investments.

What will you do?

  • Develop and execute the web strategy aligned to VOC, ensure legal compliance, vendor management, member escalations, budget management and performance analysis

  • Develop the product roadmap and obtain consensus from divisional marketing, corporate teams, engineering and leadership

  • Articulate business justifications for new investments and obtain leadership approvals

  • Influence the overall business vision and strategy of the broader Customer Loyalty program

  • Relentesly prioritize problems, capabilities and features to optimize the development outcomes

  • Advocate for lean methodologies, promoting build-measure-learn feedback loops and a 'fail-fast' mentality

  • Run user research, usability studies, data-driven experiments to inform product direction

  • Measure the success of product development cycles through web analytics and transactional data

  • Lead UX efforts based on a customer-centric approach

  • Lead a cross-functional team of engineering, user design, customer research and web analytics

  • Coordinate with the functional people managers with regards to resource allocations

  • Support a dedicated product owner/business analyst to define use cases, user stories and scope of developments

  • Work with product team to define release timelines and socialize them with the business teams

  • Coordinate efforts with a third-party SaaS vendor and other internal IT departments

  • Ensure on-time and quality delivery of initiatives by balancing the business needs versus technical constraints, and escalating issues and risks to drive solutions as necessary

  • Participate in the corporate's PMO process to align on priorities and dependencies

  • Resolve conflicts among multiple product teams working jointly on the same developments

  • Be available during off-hours to attend meetings with team members based in India

How will you get here?


  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required

  • Master's degree preferred


  • Minimum of 7 years related experience (digital marketing, technology developments, business consulting, project/program management, business analysis, quality assurance)

  • Experience developing strategy and achieving goals by translating strategy into projects and leading project execution

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated leadership skills, conflict resolution and business acumen

  • Passion for customer centricity and understanding of user research methodologies

  • Strong data-driven problem solving skills

  • Must be tech savvy, have a good understanding and practical experience using technologies to solve complex problems

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully maximize technology investments

  • Solid understanding of how to leverage data to influence product development and hands-on analytics experience using modern tools to measure impact and product adoption.

  • Excellent project management skills including the ability to formulate and drive detailed plans and key performance indicators to report on the health of each project

  • Exceptional verbal/written communication skills; negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills

  • Develop and present communications, even to senior leadership, communicating the desired message, at the appropriate level, for the right recipient

  • Experience working in agile frameworks, exposure to SAFE is a plus

  • Previous experience in customer loyalty programs is a plus
