The * *Marketing Communication Department ( MarComm )  oversees all marketing strategies for UMB and its subsidiaries, including strategic corporate communication, interactive marketing, special events for associates and customers, multimedia production and community relations. We strive to provide high-quality strategic consultation, expertise and unparalleled client service to all we serve. 


As the Content Manager , you will assist in leading the vision, process, and execution in content strategy for the organization. The Manager will continually evolve, implement, and support UMB’s content strategy, including optimizing content use through review of audience, channel, and delivery content type. In addition, the Manager will ideate, review and strategize external content for all lines of business.

How you’ll spend your time:

  • Collaborating to identify efficient content use and effective content implementation.

  • Managing and evolving the team’s online content collaboration center and the department’s projects, initiatives and workflows.

  • Providing strategic direction for website content, including SEO, audience review, performance tracking, user experience and copy creation.

  • Proactively managing style guides, taxonomies, metadata frameworks and content migration plans.

  • Reviewing content and providing actionable recommendations for improvements.

  • Interfacing with senior management, marketing, communication and business development teams within a range of disciplines.

  • Multi-faceted project management, including line of business and agency partnerships, strategic writing, shepherding of revisions and follow-through.

  • Providing communication support and guidance for planned and ad hoc company projects, such as acquisitions and product launches, as well as reimbursement and regulatory content needs. This includes the ability to package content to serve the 360-degree requirements of large-scale projects.

  • Advising on a wide variety of content types including SEO-optimized web content, multimedia, speech and script writing, financial performance and investor materials, customer-facing emails, letters and communications, and sales collateral, among others.

  • Act as an effective manager and liaison for third-party vendors such as content agencies and technology providers, including efficient and vigilant management of vendor budget and costs.

We’re excited to talk with you if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communication

  • 6+ years marketing or communication experience

  • 3+ years content management experience

  • A firm understanding of user experience, search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) skills

  • Project management experience

  • Standout idea generation and problem solving

  • Analytical abilities to gather and apply key business and user insights

  • Excellent communication, writing, and editing skills

  • Familiarity with traditional and digital marketing channels, content marketing and distribution platforms, and consumer analytics.

  • Outstanding organization skills

The pay range for a candidate selected for this position who is based in Colorado is typically $60,795 to $112,875 annually. The selected candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, including but not limited to work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay for the selected candidate may be above or below this range. The successful candidate will also be eligible to participate in one or more incentive plans based on company and individual performance.
