The Consumer Lending team partners with other businesses across Wells Fargo to create and deliver transformational experiences that help customers gain access to credit. The vision for the Consumer Lending business is to leverage technology and data to make it simple for customers to easily access credit when and where they need it. Consumer Lending serves customers across the country through our distribution network of more than 5,300 retail banking branches and Home Lending offices, as well as online and digital channels.

The Role

This Servicing Analytics Leader will drive the strategic direction of Wells Fargo Home Lending Servicing Analytics and will manage a team that partners with operational leaders to enable data driven decisions for the organization.

Specifically, this leader will:

  • Define and implement an end-to-end Business Insights and Analytics strategy for Home Lending Servicing, ensuring focus on executive analytics, supporting operational leaders and building to a single source of truth for critical metrics.

  • Utilize data strategy and technology experience to work through and implement a holistic servicing data strategy in partnership with IT and Home Lending Data Strategy leader.

  • Recommend and implement strategies for developing and utilizing data and metrics to predict, improve and measure the success of mortgage servicing operations

  • Manages and leads all Executive Reporting and Analytics for HL Servicing, this includes daily, weekly and monthly executive reporting and business review presentations, as well leading the team to create robust daily, weekly and monthly management reporting on key drivers and metric within the mortgage servicing business.

  • Create and implement a team structure that provides dedicated analytical & reporting support for operations leaders, focusing on initiatives that will enable improvements in operations efficiency, controls, as well as customer experience

  • Provide leadership on Servicing Data Governance framework. Work with IT, business and Data Strategy partners and lead the team to design, implement, and support data quality improvement initiatives and solutions. Work with IT to establish processes to continuously monitor data quality. Develops data quality metrics and identity/remediate processes that lead to inconsistency in reporting and analysis.

Salary range is determined by location of the job.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in analytics, modeling, or a combination of both

  • 8+ years of management experience; or 3+ years of leadership experience in an advanced quantitative analytics function

  • 5 + years of experience gathering, analyzing and interpreting large datasets

  • 8+ years of experience delivering analytic, strategy execution or customer operations value in a line of business or function

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of the mortgage servicing business, from a data and analytics perspective

  • Proven track record of delivering projects that span both data and technology in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience creating executive level presentations and leading executive forums to drive data driven decisions at senior levels

  • Proficiency and understanding of Business Intelligence tools

  • Proven track record of building partnerships, collaborating, and influencing at senior levels and across lines of businesses as well as with corporate partners

  • Effective leadership ability to drive successful execution of strategic plans; ability to plan, prioritize, and set goals.

  • Demonstrated success at identifying stakeholders, understanding needs, and driving to resolution

  • Strategic Leadership – creating and achieving a desired future state through influence in individual and group goals

  • A strong and effective manager and leader, capable of attracting, mentoring, retaining and promoting talented and productive staff.

  • Proven ability to collaborate with others, initiate action plans, manage change, make high impact decisions and complete challenging assignments.

  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex analysis and insights into relevant business discussions with diverse groups of leaders and organizations.

  • Excellent problem solving and analytic capabilities utilized to identify root cause issues/improvement opportunities and designing approaches/programs to address those issues.

  • A Master's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline.

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

  • This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.
