Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Des Moines, Iowa

Description

Robert Half is hiring for a detailed-oriented, trustworthy Accounts Receivable Clerk for a reputable Insurance Company located in West Des Moines, Iowa. This position will play a key role in managing and maintaining financial records related to accounts receivable.

Responsibilities:

  • Post daily receipts and update accounts receivable ledger by applying transactions.

  • Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits.

  • Conduct account research and analysis.

  • Resolve any discrepancies or inaccuracies within the customer accounts.

  • Reach out to clients over phone or email to collect payment for overdue bills, loans, or other payments.

  • Prepare weekly and monthly financial and analytical reports.

  • Maintain up-to-date, complete, and systematic filing system to support book-keeping and financial records.

  • Comply with relevant legal requirements, standards, policies and procedures.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration, or related field (preferred)

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role (preferred)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and accounting software.

  • Strong understanding of billing and financial concepts.

  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.

  • Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
