79946BRTitle:Warehouse/DC Planner SpecialistBusiness:SEF Industrial State/Country/Province:Iowa No. of Positions:1Job Description: The Warehouse/DC Specialist - Planner (WDSP) will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, all receiving functions, reporting, and communication of issues. The position will set the schedule and prioritize the daily workload for the Sort/Pack area. The WDSP will maintain critical document records, support continuous improvement initiatives within department and attend meetings as required to report out on topics. Assisting Supervisor when needed.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize and plan the workload of the packaging and sorting departments. Set-up robust system to properly maintain required OTD ratings with our customer base.

  • Maintains Inventory accuracy in warehouse based on SBD policy

  • Negative inventory monitoring

  • Root cause analysis and corrective actions for discrepancies

  • Outside Process Inventory monitoring

  • Cycle counts (warehouse, plastic raw material, outside warehouses)

  • Ensure corporate requirements are implemented and maintained

  • Receiving functions: Ensure proper and timely transactions

  • Utilize lean principles to support continuous improvements in the Warehouse/DC/Sort/Pack operations.

  • Review, audit, and update department work instructions to ensure standard work.

  • Expert of Excel: Data Analysis, Pivot table, V-look ups, etc.

  • Knowledge of JDE, QAD, Red Prairie and the material mgmt. portion of the software

  • Cross functional dept lead to analyze and implement corrective actions to any customer complaints revolving around the Warehouse operations.

  • Maintain integrity of Quality Hold locations, generate reports and ensure timely transactions.

  • MUV review, including analysis and system reconciliation.

  • Process & verify work orders / Sub-suppliers.

  • Support all equipment within department – including scheduling preventive maintenance, proper staffing and justifying any new requirements.

  • Support any internal or external audits which revolve around Warehouse operations.

  • Daily coordination of responses/communication to other departments.

  • CWS dashboard maintenance for any receiving errors.

  • Calculate and post critical department metrics.

  • Documents /reports all incoming packing concern sheets and follow up.

  • Scrap weekly requests from QA upon approval.

  • Assist with work order / MUV reconciliation.

  • Coordinate E & O write off and disposal.

  • Assist supervisor in all his/her duties.

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Ability to work overtime as required.

    Education Required:

  • High school graduate with some college preferred in specifically related courses.

  • APICS background a plus.

    Experience Required:

  • 3-Years minimum experience with high volume Warehouse activities

  • QAD / JD Edwards ERP and WMS systems

  • Above Average computer skills (MS Office Suite).

  • Analyzing and Distributing workload to Dept leads
