Req Ref No: JNIAMC17 Location: Davenport, IA Duration: 5.0 months Description Description: Coordinates the flow of materials and the filling of Kanbans in a department of the factory, which may include shipping and receiving. Ensures that the production personnel have the parts they need in order to produce the desired product. Oversees and ensures that the inventory is correct and on time and identifies problems and makes suggestions involving production schedules. Ensures material logistics follow client Production Systems principles. Coordinates the activities for the tactical execution of a production plan within a smaller group of the factory. Typically an initial position in the organization. Duties: Coordinates department(s) schedule performance for procuring, expediting, the movement of rejected material to source. Recommends procedures for specific situations that will maintain inventory accuracy and management. Finds root cause of material shortages. May provide recommendations for solutions. Utilizes Master Schedule to create and distribute daily production schedules. May include the processing of transactions for inbound/outbound materials. Audits material replenishment cycles and accuracy and may create material replenishment plans with assistance. Counts and resolves inventory errors and expedites parts to ensure uninterrupted production. Works critical shortage reports to ensure part availability. Specific Position Requirements Client is looking for motivated candidates to work within the direct parts warehouse in their daily operations. This warehouse supports an assembly operation Shift Details: Position Details: • In providing support to the warehouse operations, job duties include but not limited to: o Putting parts away in storage racks using forklifts o Picking parts destined for the assembly line using forklifts o Inventory counting and auditing o Shipping and Receiving o Hot Part Requests o Repack Operations • Shift positions consist of 1st,2nd, and 3rd with flex hour options available depending on position. • Steel toed shoes are required to be purchased by the candidate. • Eye protection and high visibility vests will be provided to the candidate. • The ability to lift 36 pounds regularly and transition from task to task is ideal. • Previous forklift experience preferred but not required. - Must have the ability to prioritize and work quickly with minimal supervision - Required to be flexible to job responsibilities - Previous forklift and warehouse experience preferred but not required 8-Hour Shifts with start times ranging from 1st (6AM) 2nd (2:30PM) and 3rd (11PM) 2nd shift is preferred but flex hour options are available depending on the position. 40 hours/week with possible 1 – 2 hours OT at the end of the shift and/or potential Saturday hours.
