Titan Machinery Construction Technology Sales Specialist in Davenport, Iowa

This position is responsible for driving sales of Machine Control (MC) systems, lasers, parts and service in a professional manner. The Machine Control Specialist/PSSR is expected to spend the majority of their time calling on existing customers and prospective customers at the customer’s location (job site/office/shop etc.) actively promoting, quoting and selling MC systems, lasers, parts and service to increase revenue. This position will also support the service team as needed with system installations and servicing customer and Titan owned units/systems. Additionally, this position also supports the sales team’s efforts to increase market share with MC, preparing MC quotes, assisting with system specifications, actively looking for and relaying sales leads to the sales team and enhancing all aspects of Titan Machinery’s business relationships with existing and new customers.

This role will serve customers at our Des Moines, Davenport, and Omaha locations.

  • Collaborate with General Manager and/or Area Product Support Manager, Parts Sales Manager and Service Manager to:

  • Develop and execute a weekly customer call plan to build and maintain long term relationships and maximize revenue of Machine Control, Parts and Service

  • Develop monthly parts sales goals and proactively promote Titan Machinery’s parts and service offerings to all customers, including but not limited to promotions such as Uptime, clinics, parts specials, service promotions, etc.

  • Develop an annual MC sales budget with the approval of the General Manager and/or Area Product Support Manager for stores within the assigned Area(s) and lead the MC and Laser System business

  • Support the technical MC needs of assigned stores/customers and bill service labor to customer/unit/warranty as appropriate

  • Work with assigned store team(s) to ensure timely and correct MC installation, training and support

  • Utilize Vendor and Titan Machinery programs to drive sales of MC systems, lasers, parts and service

  • Track all sales, including MC, parts and labor in accordance with company processes and procedures

  • Conduct demonstrations for customers on-site, at trade shows, and other venues

  • Conduct application/use training and product sales-focused clinics for MC and laser systems for customers

  • Train Equipment Sales Consultants, Service personnel and Parts Sales personnel to enable them to successfully sell, install and support MC lasers and systems

  • Collaborate with store personnel, vendors and manufacturers to resolve issues, including warranty, that arise with MC

  • Successfully complete MC and parts on-line and instructor delivered training curriculum/courses that are required by our vendors, including but not limited to CNHI, to achieve and maintain certified status and support our customers, stores and equipment

  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments

  • Other duties as assigned

Required:

  • Associate’s Degree in a related field or 2 years’ related work and/or related military experience

  • Ability to handle and resolve frequent interpersonal conflict

  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, stressful work environment

  • Ability to respond quickly, accurately, and professionally to demands and requests from customers and employees

  • Ability to do local same-day travel up to 80% of the time, overnight travel up to 20% of the time, and work flexible hours
