The Account Representative provides outstanding client service on an assigned book of Employee Benefits (EB) accounts. Foster positive professional relationships with accounts, prospects, and co-workers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Providing outstanding client service as an Account Representative on an assigned book of EB accounts.

  • Maintaining database accuracy.

  • Completing and directing projects to Account Coordinator (AC) with concise instructions.

  • Reviewing spreadsheets and proposals for accuracy.

  • Filing and/or directing emails to be filed appropriately by AC for all staff to access.

  • Resolving daily client, coverage, and technical issues.

  • Onboarding new accounts into the agency management system.

  • Marketing EB policies, preparing RFP documents, analyzing quotes, preparing sales proposals, compiling information for employee meetings.

  • Obtaining reports from other business partners.

  • Creating in EPIC, then updating Epic Activities with the AE each week during account reviews.

  • Communicating status updates on pending issues to the AE.

  • Sending annual Notices/Disclosures to clients.

  • Conducting/attending employer meetings as requested by the AE.

  • Providing PTO backup to assigned team members.

  • College degree or equivalent training and/or experience preferred.

  • Professional insurance designation or working toward.

Licensing and Certification:

  • Insurance Agents License (Life/EB) for resident state.

Working Hours and Travel:

  • Full Time position.

  • Average no more than 1-2 out of town trips per year to attend training sessions.
