Danaher Corporation Manager of Public Relations in Coralville, Iowa

Responsibilities:

  • Manage PR campaigns that align with market segment strategy to drive overall portfolio growth goals.

  • Partner with agencies and other vendors to generate content including, press releases, editorials, bylines, and interviews consistent with established messaging.

  • Maximize media exposure at events/trade shows, including onsite orchestration of press conferences, interviews, and social media coverage.

  • Develop strong industry connections with strategic advocates and influencers to collect voice of customer (VOC) information, conduct key opinion leader (KOL) interviews, and obtain customer testimonials.

  • Partner with marketing teams and executive leadership to identify synergies and champion complementary initiatives.

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with various key IDT locations, departments, and employees.

  • Monitor and report on campaign metrics to maximize marketing effectiveness and drive ROI; utilize metrics to drive continuous improvement, tweaking program implementation to optimize impact.

  • Assemble and deliver evaluations on metrics relating to public relations activities to demonstrate the effectiveness of communications.

    Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred

​Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of PR or Journalism experience, strong writing skills, a solid understanding of life sciences media, AP writing style, and a passion for genomics.

  • The candidate will be able to demonstrate advanced abilities to:

  • write press releases and editorials with crafted input from internal and external stakeholders at an executive level

  • communicate highly technical science to lay audiences in a way that increases understanding and engagement

  • manage agency relationships to agree on scope of work and deliver results on time and within budget

  • build and sustain meaningful relationships with KOLs/subject matter expert (SME)s

  • prepare for major events, run press conferences, and handle media inquiries and interview requests

  • work within multiple disciplines, including social media, design, digital marketing, regulatory, executive leadership, and content development

  • manage multiple projects with competing deadlines, utilizing strong collaborative approaches with proven accountability for deliverables
