Founded in 1971, our realm of services has evolved to include community-based personal and employment support for individuals with disabilities; the Children's Autism Centers in Clear Lake and Fort Dodge; and many retail businesses that provide revenue for our organization and job opportunities for people we support. One Vision provides services in 30 Iowa communities including Clear Lake, Mason City, Fort Dodge, Eagle Grove and Humboldt. We employ approximately 600 staff, making our organization one of the largest employers in North Iowa.
We are currently seeking a full time Job Coach for the Lake Mills/Clear Lake/Mason City area.
The Job Coach provides needed supports to assure client success in employment placements. Provides advocacy, support, assistance, and skill training to individuals with disabilities who are employed in a community setting. Assists clients with accommodations and ADA related issues. Complies with employer policies and procedures while assigned to their locations. Represents One Vision in the community. Maintains a professional relationship with family members, employers, and funding sources. Completes all required reports and documentation. Assures compliance with agency and departmental safety and confidentiality standards. Works in a variety of settings and assignments as needed to accommodate changing needs and or requests by employers, including hours of work and location. May perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements: HS/GED, ability to obtain nationally recognized job coaching certificate within 12 months of hire, previous work experience in a field with individuals with disabilities preferred.
The hours for this position will be flexible.
