We wanted to ensure that the quality of what the animals eat is high in nutritive value without unnecessary growth stimulants, hormones or other additives.Responsibilities and TasksDaily chores and care for poultry on siteAbide by biosecurity principlesVisit each house daily: minimum three times: morning, lunchtime, evening to ensure of animal welfare standards including but not limited to: Available feed and water, Correct ventilation and air quality, All dead are removed, and Other as trained.Between flocks, operate skid loaders, tractors, or other equipment supplied to turn barns and prepare for new flocks. Operate safely after training.Maintain and communicate issues with equipment to managementIn the event the welfare of the flock is in immediate danger (i.e. no water or no ventilation, etc), immediate efforts to resolve the matter must be implemented.In the scope of Technical Services, equip themselves with the knowledge and understanding of all aspects of broiler production to include: proper ventilation, water and feed line management, biosecurity, feed ordering, litter management, operations and programming of controllers, animal welfare, general knowledge and ability to identify common poultry health issues.Review and understand the service reports and SOP manual for broiler program and improvements.Follow safety protocols put into placeOther Routine ResponsibilitiesPre-Placement inspections: 24 hours prior to chick deliveryChick evaluation reports at placementEntering weights, at minimum, for 7 day, 14 day and day of blood/fat samplesFeed Sample collections when requestedMaintain farm inventory and usageCommunicate weekly with broiler manager to discuss general flock concernsAdditional responsibilities as assigned by management.We seek to hire professionals who add value each day; guide their decisions legally, ethically, and in line with company policy.
