We are searching for a Value Stream Leader to join our team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The successful candidate will provide order capture and program execution expertise for a range of systems integration and product programs in support of Future Vertical Lift. The individual will provide leadership in the areas of planning, organization, and coordination of all functional departments necessary to support upgrade pursuits and programs. The individual must exhibit the leadership and communication skills to deliver a product that meets customer expectations. The position requires technical acuity and an understanding of equipment, production methods, development processes, and support methodologies. The individual should be comfortable in an amorphous technical environment where the customer looks to Collins Aerospace for leadership in bringing high-level visions into reality. The position requires demonstrated leadership skills with a proven track record of meeting objectives and satisfying customer requirements.
In the order capture role, the individual must demonstrate the ability to lead a team in the identification of discriminators and development of strategies in support of the customer’s Most Important Requirements. Leadership of a capture team will also require ability to manage the development of a schedule, WBS, SOW and other proposal artifacts. The position requires the ability to guide the establishment of the cost, schedule and technical baselines that will facilitate a winning proposal and a successful execution program. Understanding of Collins Aerospace Pursuit and Order Capture Process is desired.
In the program execution role, the individual will be expected to ensure adherence to the program baseline and serve as the primary customer point of contact in communication of program status. The individual will maintain responsibility for schedule, performance, cost attainment, sales, and order forecasts and will present proposals, status reports, and customer status to leadership.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 10 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 7 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required.
