Apply scientific principles to innovate, design, develop and implement technologies, components, sub-systems, machines, tools and systems to ensure compliance to specifications, requirements and customer guarantees across applicable IP processes and tools. Perform analysis at all levels of the total system product including concept, design, fabrication, modeling, test, installation, operation maintenance and disposal. Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Consider and evaluate alternatives accounting for similar metrics. Manage configuration process, perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. Perform architectural exploration. Decompose customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements and generates verification criteria and plan for the requirements. Execute objectives for requirements management, reliability, logistics, coordination of different teams, evaluation measurements and other disciples for large or complex projects. Monitor the cost, effectiveness and reliability of activities and recommend modifications to optimize resources, prioritize spending and ensure that standards are met. Manage work-processes, optimization methods, and risk management tools for large or complex projects. Research and evaluate investments or changes in technology, resources, procedures, equipment, systems, or other assets to improve the quality of the organizationis systems products and services. Provide analysis for the decomposition of customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements and develop verification criteria and plans for the requirements. Must possess at least a bacheloris degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field and at least five years of progressive experience in an Embedded Systems Engineering position. In the alternative at least a masteris degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field and at least three years of experience in an Embedded Systems Engineering position would be acceptable. Must also possess the following: at least 2 years of experience capturing and analyzing customer requirements; at least 1 year of experience decomposing customer requirements into clear system and subsystem requirements; at least 1 year of experience performing system design requiring coordination across multiple subsystem functional areas; at least 1 year of experience developing system operation and requirement-based test cases and procedures; and at least 1 year of experience performing system integration and testing of complex systems.
