What You Will Do: You will be responsible for developing and maintaining hedge prototype models of the various hedging models, ensuring model changes to the production hedge models are accurate, determining and communicating the downstream financial impacts model changes.

What You Will Learn: You will get to work closely with:

  • Model Development Team: Provide business requirements, and provide sign-off on model changes

  • Pricing teams: To understand and develop new product features

  • Valuation Reporting Team: Provide downstream financial impacts

What Success Looks Like:

  • Help improve and modernize the current User Acceptance Testing process

  • Developing recommendations for process improvements with new technology.

  • Standardize and automate testing processes to reduce manual errors and execution time

  • Verify the hedging systems meet specified requirements including: functional, performance, reliability, security and usability.

  • Work with development and user acceptance teams for consistent implementation of model upgrades approved by management.

  • Execution of regression, database, schedule, end-to-end, parallel and integration testing as part of the SDLC process.

  • Creates documentation to summarize testing results and presents findings to management.

  • Review testing procedures to ensure that they apply correct formulas to the appropriate data to calculate the actual and expected results.

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in math, actuarial science, statistics, related science field, finance, or related business field OR Bachelor’s plus FSA/CFA/Equivalent Designation and 1 year relevant work experience OR Bachelors plus 1-2 years relevant work experience OR an Advanced Degree.

  • Good understanding of investment and finance concepts, and be able to creatively apply them in solving analytical problems in the business setting.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Self-motivated and proven ability to deliver on results.

  • Programming experience such as C#, SQL, VBA etc. a plus

  • Strong mathematical skills, analytical skills, initiative and attention to detail.

  • Strong problem-solving and data management skills.

  • Ability to work independently, seeking out help when necessary.

  • Excellent time management skills.
