The Disciplines & Knowledge Transfer (DKT) organization within Enterprise Engineering strives to advance methods that improve effectiveness within the Strategic Business Units through innovative solutions, knowledge management, and the relentless pursuit of execution excellence. DKT is responsible for developing and leading execution of Collins-wide initiatives to improve the speed, effectivity, and quality of product development and support within the business units.

Our team is skilled in project leadership, communication strategies, agile development, and knowledge management and we’re looking to add someone passionate about working across all of Collins Aerospace to the team!

This individual can work onsite at any Collins Aerospace domestic location or remote.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Working with our Sr Fellows Discipline Leads to create comprehensive technical roadmaps in each of our 12 disciplines

  • Coordinating with all engineering disciplines and strategic business units - domestic and international - to define and charter tactical Working Groups

  • Participating in Discipline Steering Committee (DSC) meetings to help instill consistency and drive a sense of urgency to accomplish our Strategic Plans

  • Leading the execution, analysis, and continuous improvement of our Discipline Health Assessment (DHA) across Collins Aerospace

  • Working closely with peers in Enterprise Engineering to accomplish common objectives including the roll out of Endorsed Practices as identified through DSC leaders

  • Communicating effectively to the organization via LiftOff messages or other channels to ensure proper change management is achieved as we drive positive change into the organization

    Basic Qualifications:

  • This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 10 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 7 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required.

  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 25%, potentially internationally

  • Ability to collaborate and drive decisions with large groups

  • Ability to develop strategies and communicate those to various levels of leadership, including senior executive leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience utilizing multiple development methods and processes

  • Understanding of a variety of our internal and external customers and how they interface into our businesses and systems as it relates to the engineering function

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, ideally including enterprise level committees
