BAE Systems is looking for a Principal Chemical Engineer with a passion for materials and the desire to work in the world of Microelectronics. As a part of this team, you will have responsibilities spanning all phases of the engineering life cycle including material selection, process development, qualification and factory support.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead qualification efforts for microelectronic packages

  • Select materials for microelectronic assemblies and identify alternatives

  • Work with a multidisciplinary team to design, develop and transition to production microelectronic packages

  • Develop mold processes for microelectronic packages and transition processes to production

  • Support failure analysis of microelectronic assemblies and formulate corrective actions

  • Provide engineering support to production

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline and 6 years work experience

  • Experience with microelectronics or materials used in microelectronic assemblies

  • US Citizenship is required

  • Must be capable of obtaining a U.S. DoD Secret security clearance

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Prefer candidates with Chemistry or Chemical Engineering degree

  • Experience with application of thermal set materials

  • Experience with microelectronic qualification testing standards

  • DoD Secret Clearance

  • Ability to work well with a diverse team
