Position Overview: Aegon Asset Management is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Intermediate/Senior Investment Analyst within the Client Reporting and Onboarding Team. Client Reporting and Onboarding is a team within Aegon Asset Management that is responsible for the coordination and setup of new clients and the generation and analysis of client deliverables. The Client Reporting and Onboarding Team interacts heavily with many other departments within Aegon Asset Management and with external custodians and vendors.Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the portfolio administration function

  • Facilitate the onboarding of custodians through the client and product implementation process within operations

  • Partner with Audit on the surprise custody exam

  • Partner with the Client Service team for onboarding and reporting

  • Communicate as required with external clients as well as other internal business units

  • Actively participate in any application improvements from requirements gathering to final UAT testing and implementation

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the flow of information, systems, and reporting tools, and use that knowledge to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve issues.

  • Contribute ideas for, and implement, improvements to efficiency, accuracy and controls in relation to assigned work, projects or other process enhancements.

  • Performs or leads assigned tasks or projects

Required Qualifications:

Senior Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field.

  • 5 years of related experience in financial services industry or technical analysis.

  • Proven ability to collaborate with a variety of internal and external parties to understand customer needs and ensure positive outcomes for our clients.

  • Strong process improvement experience with the ability to recognize opportunities within own role.

  • Strong analytical, problem recognition and resolution, and communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments.

Intermediate Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field.

  • 2 years of related experience in financial services industry or technical analysis.

  • Proven ability to collaborate with a variety of internal and external parties to understand customer needs and ensure positive outcomes for our clients.

  • Strong process improvement experience with the ability to recognize opportunities within own role.

  • Strong analytical, problem recognition and resolution, and communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Access).

  • Previous securities experience with fixed income securities

  • Project management experience

  • Previous experience with data warehouse and reporting tools

Job and compensation levels depend upon an applicant’s qualifications including the extent of his/her relevant experience and other job related factors and will be determined by hiring supervisors/managers and HR.
