Midwest Refrigerated Services Forklift Operator - 3rd Shift in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Midwest Refrigerated Services, a growing family owned frozen food warehouse, refrigerated trucking and logistics company We serve customers in the food industry with distribution and transportation services. A successful candidate values a safe and fast paced work environment while working in a refrigerator/freezer warehouse.

Shift: 3rd

Experienced and are currently employed.

$17.50*/hour

*$16.50 base + $1.00 shift premium (2nd Shift or later)

$16.50/hour starting for inexperienced or unemployed, increase within a year to $17.50

Experienced and employed starting wage requirements:

  • 1 year standup forklift experience with current employer

  • Currently employed

  • Pass forklift evaluation

  • Will be eligible for the following additional benefits:

  • Eligible for shift differential.

  • Eligible for insurance the first of the month after 2 months of employment.

Duties include:

  • Picking and staging of orders

  • Loading and unloading of trucks

  • General shipping and receiving duties

  • Follow all safety rules and procedures

  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a cooler (34-38F)

  • Ability to read/write/speak in English

  • Good computer aptitude and math skills

  • Lift up to 60 pounds frequently and 80+ pounds.

  • Experience operating a stand up forklift or powered pallet jacks is preferred

  • Experience working within RF controlled inventory systems or with food products is a plus

  • Ability to work weekends and overtime

  • Have exceptional attendance

  • Must have a minimum of sitdown experience, standup preferred.
