Report to Manufacturing Manager any information that may impede the operation of the plant as soon as it becomes known, while providing technical expertise regarding plant equipment and facilities.
Initiate and/or maintain a cost-effective preventive maintenance program and Implement quality improvement and cost reduction ideas
Contact and work with vendors and subcontractors to achieve desired results.
Troubleshoot and solve problems.
PLC understanding, utilizing pc software as a tool to repair.
Available to respond to unplanned machine downtime after normal work hours. Plant has a 24/7 work schedule, so availability is crucial.
Rotating weekend hours and on call availability throughout weekdays.
Champion NFP70E training compliance for facility.
Perform maintenance functions on relays, UPS, distribution network, breakers, switches, motors.
Perform replacement on diagnostic faulty electrical elements of machine including motors, relays, and switches; and setup sensing mechanism, utilizing hand tools.
Responsible for installation with Allen Bradley components and PLC’s utilizing Logix 5000, SKC 500, PLC5.
Responsible for maintaining and repairing 120/128, 277/480 volt electrical systems.
Administrative responsibilities – safety, SAP, lift trucks, building maintenance, etc.
Other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED.
Four years maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant.
Familiarity with LOTO and safe work practices.
Candidates are PREFERRED who offer the following:
College and/or related technical courses.
Degree in Industrial Electronics and/or five years’ experience in the corrugated box industry with heavy experience in electronics,
Mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electricity.
Familiarity with Rockwell software, PLC’s and HMI’s preferred.
Ability to operate in a team environment and possess excellent communication skills.
