Manage ALM Hedging operations, production, and reporting within a disciplined controls environment. Produce model inputs and perform business analysis to deliver key performance indicators and ensure efficient operations, including the creation of asset inventories, economic assumptions, and reinvestment strategies. Provide timely, quality resolution of inquiries and ad hoc requests.\

What You Will Do:

  • Run business processes and drive phases of projects that directly impact Transamerica financials

  • Responsible for the derivatives settlements and OTC collateral management

  • Affirm / confirm settlements for executed deals with the various counterparties

  • Transmit cash instructions to custodians, administrators and other relevant third parties

  • Liaison with custodians, administrators, counterparties, Middle Office and Trade team, Legal Documentation teams to resolve affirmation/confirmation discrepancies and/or settlement failures

  • Provides analytical support to Management. Requires decision-making on development, presentation, and interpretation of various ALM reports.

  • Support liquidity and collateral related analytics, including cash and yield allocation.

  • Provide timely, quality resolution of inquiries and ad hoc requests. Ensure timely, quality resolution of cash and liquidity analysis.

  • Aggressively embrace new technologies to improve current workflows.

  • Assist audit and risk partners by providing requested documentation and information, as needed.

  • Work closely with cross functional partners to ensure collaboration and process efficiencies are maintained

  • Resolve potential issues; escalate as appropriate.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or related business field, math, statistics, actuarial science, or related science field

  • Academic or other exposure in one or more of the following areas:

  • Insurance liability, asset valuation, derivatives modeling, liquidity management, machine learning, artificial intelligence

  • Good understanding of investment and finance concepts, and be able to creatively apply in solving analytical problems in the business setting

  • Preferred: Experience working with asset liability management processes in insurance or banking

  • Preferred: Understanding of actuarial and accounting
