responsibilities:

Duties:

  • Represents the business group on project teams and serves as the point of contact.

  • Evaluates, develops and implements new processes and policies to maximize operating efficiencies and satisfy business requirements.

  • Develops and defines requirements for projects.

  • Develops and executes test plans and time lines to enable smooth and timely project implementations.

  • Develops and updates department specific forms, contracts or manuals;

  • Coordinates communication with appropriate personnel or customers.

  • Creates and updates spreadsheets and databases to track statistical data.

  • Creates documentation and training materials.

  • May provide training on updated processes and policies.

  • Assists the business group with daily job responsibilities as needed.

  • Target someone with at least 4-5 years in an Engineering/Product Development environment.

Scope: All Engine Series and supporting Air/EGR and HP/LP fuel systems Prototype parts:

  • Tracks all Non conformances for BES team

  • Alerts engineers regarding key dates/milestones

  • Communicates status on their behalf as needed

  • Obtains prototype part demand information - by engine, build, Engineering specific requests (e.g., P&E/PV&V)

  • Interacts with BES engineers to understand design vintages and best fit for requests

  • Communicates and negotiates with the requesters and with Supply Chain Integration teams as required

  • Fills out parts requests and follows up with all parties as needed

  • Problem resolution tracking:

Part Release process:

  • Working with Design and Program Management personnel, provides updates to BES engineers on key dates, e.g., build dates, Design review/EPR/DPAR/PPAP

  • Provide communication, as needed, back to other teams regarding component schedule changes, e.g., component change that may impact planned DR/DPAR or build dates

  • Assists as requested with presentations for EPR, DR, DPARs.

  • Tracks the status of requirements in PTC Integrity and highlights status gaps, e.g., approval, linking, and verification status

  • Engineering data analysis

  • PV&V activity tracking

qualifications:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent

  • Knowledge and experience with product development in a mid/large company

skills:

  • Strong project management skills, including use of project management software tools

  • Excellent MS-Excel skills

  • Some experience with CAD (preferably Creo), and PDM systems

  • Strong people skills
