Accurately enter information regarding inventory movements related to receiving of parts into the requirements planning system.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Enters receiving transactions into computer system for all receivables (Viking & Richter), both stock and non-stock.
Enters inventory transactions for consignment inventory in receipt routing in JDE system.
Manages tracking and receiving of parts that are sent out for additional operations.
Assists with entry work on annual physical inventory.
Other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess high level of understanding of inventory control procedures and its relationship to other departments.
Must have a good working knowledge of material requirements planning, particularly the receiving of purchased parts.
Requires knowledge of process flow at supplier and Viking Pump.
Must perform duties with limited supervision.
Must be able to face, analyze and make decisions accurately to prioritize work.
Must be able to handle multiple priorities and projects at one time.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Must be proficient at keyboard data entry.
WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to move within office and manufacturing complex, write by hand and keyboard, and perform general office functions.
Ability to communicate by speech and hearing via phone and in person.
Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use.
General manufacturing, warehouse and office environment.
Must have the ability to effectively communicate with customers, suppliers and all levels of corporate and company personnel.
Must be able to work with others from various departments: Supply Chain, Accounting, Production, and others as necessary to complete the receiving process.
Has contact with all company departments.
